During one of the Mexico World Cups (I think it was 1986) there were large demonstrations because of poverty and hunger. The main slogan was “No queremos goles, queremos frijoles” or something (We don’t want goals, we want beans). Before the Brazil World Cup there were demonstrations as well. If you do look around, there are news besides this kind of circus.
The World Cup has been seen as more and more of a joke when you consider that cheating without being caught is now being seen as part of the game. I don’t care if this is a game that brings the world together. It doesn’t excuse this kind of corruption.
There will be a bonus?
Maybe in the future, video games will become famous enough to do this someday.
Keep dreaming kids you’ll get there.
I bet you guys were all screaming like little girls at the e3 new trailers, and no one kept bitching around.
